Motivation and musical excellence

Motivation and musical excellence combines several blogs into PDF format. The blogs have been modified as a result of positive criticism from several good friends.
I hope that this will assist those who experience the pain of a composer's block and those (like myself) who wonder why some of us are drawn like moths to a bright light by the wonders of music.

  1. AH yes! Wrong sport for your isle, but you hit a HUGE home run that hasn't landed in Sweden yet :)Nurtan especially loved your snippet, why indeed,to create is human. Whether it is a garden, home, the correct color(or original thought incorrect)of blind to shade the window! I would recommend anyone wanting to delve into how music works in the brain to read Oliver Saks, Musicophellia. Oddly enough I read it because the person who helped me realize the organ voicings let me read it. I am sure every composer has it, or should at least. I hear music,as most of us do. Can't remember which patient had it at this point, I think he had a TBI or heart attack and came out of recovery and started composing-piano. 8 years ago I read that, borderline early dementia due to stroke,Bach and Reich is great medicine! Kudos all around Ken,Esmen, and Dean Burnett.
